Welcome to Moreton-in-Marsh Bowling Club
We are an outdoor Lawn Bowls club based in Moreton-in-Marsh, Gloucestershire, England. We have approximately 60 playing and social members. We will always welcome new members to the Club whatever their level of ability, including those who are beginners to the sport.
We play Friendlies, Mixed and Ladies matches, at weekends and during the week, against other clubs in our area. We also run an internal league for Club members on Wednesday afternoons. We compete in the North Cotswold and Kineton Leagues, and some of our members enter Inter-Club and County and National competitions.
We welcome touring teams and recommend our market town of Moreton-in-Marsh as a centre for Cotswold bowling tours. We can host matches for affiliated clubs, Counties and societies. Our green can accommodate up to 8 rink matches and we can cater for matches of up to that size. We would love to welcome you to our club.
During the outdoor season, which runs from late April to late September, we run a Club Night every Monday evening from 6.00pm. This gives an opportunity for a friendly roll-up and for beginners and new bowlers to have some guidance from more experienced members.
From September onwards and throughout the winter months, Monday Club Social meetings are held between 2.00 pm and 4.00 pm where card and board games and good conversation are the order of the day.
Indoor short mat bowls take place on Tuesday and Friday afternoons from 2.00pm.
We also hold social events for members including lunches, quiz nights and any other excuse to get together and socialise.
